CONTROLLING VOLUME

The volume control on your guitar amp increases and decreases the volume on your amp. The gain control increases and decreases the input signal to the amp. The lowest gain control setting will give the cleanest sound which can be warmed up a little by marginally increasing the gain. High gain settings will overdrive the amp into distortion if you're into a heavier sound.
